The J371H Coated VICRYL® Sutures are high-quality, absorbable surgical sutures designed for optimal wound closure in various surgical procedures. These sutures are made from a synthetic absorbable material, polyglactin 910, which ensures reliable and consistent performance during surgery.
Key Features:
- Material Composition:
- Made from Polyglactin 910, a copolymer of 90% glycolide and 10% L-lactide.
- Coated with a proprietary mixture of polyglactin 370 and calcium stearate.
- Absorbable sutures that gradually lose tensile strength and are absorbed by the body, reducing the need for suture removal.
- Absorption is essentially complete between 56 and 70 days.
- Size 1 sutures, suitable for a variety of tissue approximation and ligation.
- Each suture is 36 inches (90 cm) in length, providing ample material for suturing large wounds or performing complex stitches.
- Equipped with a CTX needle, which is a large, cutting needle designed for easy penetration of tough tissues.
- 1/2 circle shape facilitates smooth and precise suturing in deep or curved surgical sites.
- Coated with a unique blend that enhances handling properties, making suturing easier and more efficient.
- Ensures smooth passage through tissue with minimal resistance and reduces the risk of tissue drag and trauma.
- Provided in sterile packaging to maintain product integrity and ensure patient safety.
- Each suture is individually packaged for single-use, preventing cross-contamination.
Indications: Coated VICRYL® Sutures are indicated for use in general soft tissue approximation and/or ligation, including use in ophthalmic procedures, but not for use in cardiovascular or neurological tissues.
Advantages:
- Excellent handling and knot security.
- Predictable absorption rate and reliable tensile strength.
- Reduced tissue reactivity compared to natural absorbable sutures.
