Furosemide Injection, USP 10 mg/mL is a sterile, nonpyrogenic solution intended for intravenous (IV) or intramuscular (IM) administration. Each 2 mL single-dose vial contains 20 mg of furosemide, an anthranilic acid derivative and potent loop diuretic. This product is manufactured by NorthStar Rx LLC.
Indications and Usage: Furosemide Injection is indicated for the treatment of edema associated with heart failure, cirrhosis of the liver, and renal disease. It is also used as adjunctive therapy for acute pulmonary edema. Due to its potent diuretic effect, careful medical supervision is required to prevent excessive diuresis and electrolyte depletion.
